\"Snow on the beach featuring Lana Del Ray is track four on Midnights and I cannot get through that sentence without grinning because I am such a massive fan of Lana Del Ray,\" Taylor shared in the Oct. 12 Instagram video. \"The song, is about falling in love with someone at the same time they are falling in love with you.\"
The \"Willow\" singer went on to explain that their duet describes the moment where you question if this is really happening or all a dream, saying, \"Kind of like it would be if you were to see snow falling on a beach.\"
Myrtle Beach, SC had never had a long, systematic snowfall record. After examining snowfall measurements from FAA and U.S. Air Force records at the Myrtle Beach airport, local NWS cooperative observer records at various locations around Myrtle Beach, and unofficial reports from newspapers and the public, we have been able to thread together an unofficial snowfall climatology for Myrtle Beach dating back to 1940. Although not official in a legal sense, this snowfall record helps fill a gap in our understanding of the frequency and severity of wintry weather in South Carolina.
Snow is an infrequent occurrence along the South Carolina coast. The combination of cold air and moisture is difficult to achieve since winds bringing moisture in from the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf of Mexico are almost always bringing warmth in as well. Of the snowfall events in Myrtle Beach's history one stands out as particularly severe; December 22-24, 1989 brought an immense snowstorm to the coastal Southeast including 14 inches in Myrtle Beach. Other significant snowstorms include 7 inches on March 24-25, 1983, and 9 inches on February 9-11, 1973.
My bike is just short of 2 years old (1y,11m) and has over 800 miles. I bought an inexpensive bike because I didn't know if I'd really like it or not, I hadn't ridden in 30 years! Turns out, I love it and a big part of it is this bike is a tank! By that I mean it takes a fair amount of abuse in difficult conditions. 50% of my riding is on hilly dirt paths but I've also ridden in snow, beach sand, light mud and 18' brush. I don't do jumps and generally stay below 10 MPH off road. The bike has only needed normal bicycle maintenance outside of one electrical repair. My generation (pre-UL listing) had an issue with a set of power connectors being packaged too closely together. I fixed it easily (zip ties & solder) ; the problem hasn't shown on later bikes. The Facebook group \"Ecotric Bicycle Owners' Group\" is a great source of detailed knowledge for maintenance and the modifications that enthusiasts like to make. The beach pic shows the barebones bike, the woods bike pic is recent with the Ecotric brand fender & rack kit plus some other mods to fit my use.

The National Weather Service does not expect snowfall in Long Beach, but, then, no one ever expects snowfall in Long Beach. And yet, it has unexpectedly but unofficially snowed in Long Beach, even in fairly modern times, even though whatever stuff whitish in hue that has landed here has been a source of argument, with killjoy Monday morning climatologists calling it pea hail or some other snowlike precipitation, but not snow.
The most recent frigid event in Long Beach that the NWS has deigned to call snow came in mid-January 1949, when an arctic blast from Alberta, Canada made it down to Long Beach, bringing temperatures down to 32 degrees at Long Beach Airport, where airport workers had to scrape the frost off the wings of airplanes while elsewhere in the city kids managed to scrape enough snow together to make ammo for snowball fights or to build diminutive snowman.

Much like its warmer-weather counterpart, the snow beach is best enjoyed with a libation in hand and the sun shining overhead. Instead of planting yourself in the sand like at an ocean beach, however, the setting for the spring skiing staple is a giant swath of snow. The slopeside experience can vary in size and vibe, but among our five favorites, there is sure to be one that fits your mood.
Last call at Lunch Rock is usually around 3:30 p.m. So if you want to keep the beachy vibes going, ski down about 1,000 feet to the Sunspot for après festivities on Friday and Saturday, including live music that begins at 4 p.m.
A few weeks ago, residents of New Jersey celebrated snow days on the beach. Winter storms and severe weather conditions often disrupt life at the Jersey Shore, but the beaches of Cape May and Atlantic City turned into a snowglobe. You also spot winter surfers riding the waves in the frigid waters of the Atlantic despite the cold and the snow. For others, walking, snowball fights, and sleigh rides may be a better idea.
Cape Cod in Massachusetts shows the sunny side of life with its sandy beaches along the Atlantic. Come winter, the beaches are carpeted with glittering snow. One of the most popular beaches is the Lighthouse Beach in Chatham, which has a historic lighthouse (surely the name gave it away). Another Chatham beach that you can visit for snowtime activities is Hardings.
The northern prefecture of Hokkaido is an under-the-radar skiing destination. It is home to the second-most snowy city in the world, Sapporo, which also hosts an annual snow festival. The city of Hakodate offers gorgeous seaside views and this is where you should head to see beaches in all their snowy glory. Follow the locals to Omori-hama Beach on a snowy winter morning to see freezing waves hitting the pristine shore. 59ce067264
