BRIDGE: The Baca Center offers various types of bridge games for all abilities. Bridge was derived from the English game of Whist in the 18th Century. Cards originated in China as far back as the 9th Century. The duplicate and evening bridge are for players that have a partner and that have advanced skills to play bridge. GRANNY BASKETBALL: Do you like basketball and low impact exercise or are you looking for a team to support Join the Round Rock Rockettes for Granny Basketball. This program is a gentle game for women of a certain age. There is no running or jumping (hurrying is allowed); no physical contact; and the court is divided into three courts. The team meets year-round at Clay Madsen Recreation Center. Games are played in Round Rock, Georgetown and Harker Heights. First time participants will need to purchase their uniform and pay a participant fee to the Granny Basketball Organization.
